For pastry chefs

Pastry chef work, where dessert is the booking.

Every other platform treats a cake as something the dinner chef also brings. Here, a pastry chef is its own kind of chef — with a profile that says desserts only, a calendar that isn’t carved into meal services, and a place in search clients can actually filter to. You keep 100% of your quote.

what a desserts-only profile gets you.

A desserts-only profile, stated up front.

Mark yourself as a pastry chef and your public page carries a scope note saying you make desserts, not savory food — and your page titles read “pastry chef”, not “private chef”. Clients arrive knowing what they’re booking, so you stop fielding requests for a four-course dinner.

A calendar built for a dessert table, not a dinner service.

Private chefs see four service slots a day, because a lunch and a dinner are different jobs. You don’t. A desserts-only calendar is a plain daily view — a cake for Saturday is a Saturday, not a “dinner”.

Clients can search for exactly what you make.

Chef type is the first filter on the search page, so “pastry chef” is one tap rather than something to hunt for. Celebration cakes, dessert tables and dessert buffets are their own filters too — a client who knows they want a cake can ask for a cake.

Demand for you gets recorded even when we can’t fill it.

When someone asks for a pastry chef and none of ours covers their address, we don’t quietly show them a dinner chef. We tell them the truth and log the gap — and that log is how we decide which cities to recruit in next.

You keep your whole quote.

We take 0% of what you charge. The client pays a service fee on top of your price, and it is never taken out of yours. Their payment is captured into escrow when they book and releases to you 24 hours after your event’s scheduled start — 48 hours for each of your first three, while you build a track record.

Your inquiries are yours.

We never sell, resell or share your leads — you are not paying for introductions that ghost. The only thing you ever pay ChefLynk is an optional monthly subscription, and the free tier costs nothing.

before you sign up.

Can I take dessert bookings without offering dinner?
Yes — that is what the pastry-chef kind is for. You can be desserts-only, and your profile says so, so clients don’t arrive expecting a full meal. You can also be both if you cook savory too; it is not a choice you are locked into.
I sell cakes, not menus. What do I actually publish?
A “menu” on ChefLynk is just your priced offering — a dessert table, a cake tier and its serving count, a plated dessert course. You do need at least one published offering before clients can find you, because a profile with nothing bookable on it is a dead end for them. Price it per guest or as a set price for the piece.
What does it cost me?
Nothing to join, and 0% of every booking. Clients pay a service fee on top of your quote, which is how the platform is funded — it never comes out of your price. There are optional paid plans for bigger tools, and a free tier that stays free.
When do I get paid?
The client’s card is charged when they book and the money is held in escrow before you start work, so you are not invoicing anyone afterwards. It releases to your connected account 24 hours after your event’s scheduled start — 48 hours for each of your first three bookings.
Do I need my own insurance or licensing?
Yes. ChefLynk is a booking platform, not your employer. Cottage-food rules, kitchen licensing and liability insurance are yours to hold, exactly as they would be running your own dessert business.
