Is the service fee added on top of the chef’s price?
Yes. The fee is yours, not the chef’s — nothing is taken out of what your chef quoted. The estimator uses the same fee formula checkout uses, capped the same way.
When am I charged?
Once, when you accept your chef’s quote — never before. The money is held in escrow and releases to the chef 24 hours after the event’s scheduled start, 48 hours for a chef’s first three bookings.
Is the estimator’s number a quote?
No. It is the shape of a booking for the per-guest price you drag to. The real per-guest price comes from the chef — published on their profile, confirmed in their quote, and visible before you commit to anything.
